so we made a captain america shield...and you have to have a matching shirt to be really authentic....
and luckily my sister in laws knows of my hoarding and brings me bags of hand me downs...
and this shirt was in there....
peeeeerfect for a captain america. i just cut a circle (making sure that it was big enough to cover the swoosh...
i decided to make this the same way i made THIS batman and superman shirt
it's layered fabric and then you cut away the layers to make your design...so the layers were red..white blue...
then you sew the design..
i just took some chalk and made a star
then i cut away the top layer of red to get to the white...
then kept cutting to get down to the blue...
pin around the shirt
and sew
and the more you wash it..the more it frays up and becomes more awesome.
