eye masks (kid craft monday!)

hey! thanks to everyone who voted for me on project run and play! i came in first! it was such a nice surprise! i basically was just hoping to just not go home!! and if you want to play along this round --it's fashion icon!.**************************
this is the activity we did for my daughter's birthday. (she actually got grounded from having a party but we still let her have a friend over)
i cut a basic shape...and gave them my fabric markers....
and they just doodled away...


i had a bunch of this cuddly fabric scraps so i let them each pick their backing...
then i just laid right sides together and cut around...measured around the kids head from the sides of the mask and cut a piece of elastic that size
I pinned the elastic inside (so all the edges are out) and sew around (look closely at the picture...i don't sew where the pink elastic is coming out.
that is where i turn it right side out and iron it...and then sew around again attaching that last piece of elastic to the side
and done!(i have been giving my daughter sewing lessons...and this is a super easy project they could do!)one cute side...one super soft side..



and here's the one my 4 year old made:we used these to play pin the tail on the zebra!!!i also made these for allergiesand some cute embellished ones
